Graston Technique Therapy

Graston Technique® (GT) is a unique, evidence-based form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) that enables clinicians to effectively and efficiently address soft tissue lesions and fascial restrictions resulting in improved patient outcomes. GT uses specially designed stainless steel instruments with unique treatment edges and angles to deliver an effective means of manual therapy. The use of GT instruments, when combined with appropriate therapeutic exercise, leads to the restoration of pain-free movement and function. (Grastontechnique.com)
As an occupational therapist, Nicole uses a holistic approach – combining Graston Technique® to release fascial restrictions in the body with therapeutic exercise and lifestyle modifications to provide lasting pain relief. Graston Technique® can be used to treat any movement system dysfunction that has been determined to have a soft tissue component, including both acute and chronic conditions.

Prenatal yoga

With many physical and emotional changes, pregnancy is a transitional time for all birthing people. Prenatal yoga will provide a safe space to relax both the mind and body. Using purposeful movement, this practice offers many tools to strengthen the body for labor as well as ease many physical discomforts that manifest during pregnancy. The practice will incorporate safe exercises to strengthen both the core and pelvic floor muscles. It will also focus on pelvic floor relaxation techniques and preparing the body for labor through breathwork and mindful meditation practices. These breathing techniques combined with purposeful movement calm the mind, center the body, and promote a mindful, embodied approach throughout pregnancy, labor, and delivery.
Prenatal yoga can be practiced throughout all trimesters (clearing any medical issues with your care provider). This class is open to anyone who is pregnant, trying to conceive, or adopting.
Nicole offers private 1-1 prenatal sessions as well as private group sessions throughout Tampa Bay. Nicole also teaches in-studio prenatal yoga on Tuesday evenings at 6:30pm at Moon Drop Yoga Studio located in Carrollwood.
